Dr. Melissa Young was drawn to dentistry because it brings science and artistry together. For her, each treatment is an opportunity to improve a patient’s health, restore function, and build lasting confidence.
She practices comprehensive general dentistry with an emphasis on restorative care. Her clinical interests include cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign® treatment, along with full-mouth rehabilitation for patients facing complex dental concerns. She approaches each case thoughtfully, developing personalized treatment plans that support comfort, function, and natural-looking results.
Informed consent is central to Dr. Young’s philosophy of care. She takes time to explain what patients can expect, answer their questions, and ensure they feel comfortable with their treatment decisions. This open, collaborative approach helps establish the trust needed for a positive dental experience.
Dr. Young completed her undergraduate education at Texas A&M University in College Station before earning her dental degree from UT Health San Antonio.
FAMILY, SERVICE, AND LIFE BEYOND DENTISTRY
Born in Katy and raised in Columbus, Texas, Dr. Young is proud to care for patients in the community she calls home. Her commitment to service began during childhood and has grown to include over 1,000 volunteer hours supporting local and international causes.
Her service work has included dental mission trips to Honduras, fundraising for breast cancer research, providing winter essentials to people experiencing homelessness, and tutoring children with special needs. Each experience reflects her belief that compassionate care can have an impact far beyond the dental office.
Outside the practice, Dr. Young enjoys traveling and discovering foods from different cultures. She and her husband have three young sons, and she proudly embraces life as a “boy mom.”
